MindRider was an exciting Kickstarter project that utilized our technology in the first citywide neuro-geography. The MindRider team created a customized helmet that tracks your mind’s performance as you ride, then deployed ten cyclists to mindride Manhattan’s main streets in the course of two months. The resulting MindRider Manhattan Map, based upon brainwave data, was compared against NYC Open Data that includes locations for traffic routes, vehicle collisions, commercial zoning, citizen complaints, green spaces, and potholes.
Based on these visualizations, comparisons, and analyses, the MindRider team published a book of the best places to ride in Manhattan. Learn more about the map, book, and the implications for urban and transportation planning at http://mindriderhelmet.com/.
