You can divide usage of brainwaves in an application between voluntary and involuntary.
Voluntary is when you are actively trying to do something. For example, the more you relax, the higher you can float an object.
Involuntary is when you are already engaged in an activity and you are not actively trying to affect the state of your brainwaves. Information is being recorded in the background.
All of the following applications were developed using the tools available for free in the MindSet Development Tools (MDT):
The Brainwave Visualizer is a colorful, interactive application controlled by your brain, that shows you a graphical representation of your brain’s activity. The Brainwave Visualizer includes the Brainwave Visualization, Brainwave Power Spectrum Graph, and the eSense Attention and Meditation meters. The on-screen shapes morph and change color depending on your state of mind. Because each person has a unique brain wave profile, no two visualizations will ever be the same.
Brainwave Visualizer was developed from the Windows and OSX versions of the ThinkGear Communications Driver (TGCD), provided as part of our free MDT, using the inexpensive Unity 3D engine. A more detailed discussion of the Brainwave Visualizer is available here.
Brainwave Visualizer is bundled as a demonstration application with the MindSet product.
As NeuroBoy™, use your special telekinetic powers to push, pull, lift, or burn objects. Different objects in the world weigh different amounts, so you will need to hone your mental muscle to pick up the heavier items.
The Adventures of NeuroBoy is bundled as a demonstration application with the MindSet product.
NeuroView is designed to be appropriate for EEG researchers wishing to simply view and record EEG data in realtime. The recorded data can be easily exported to other third-party applications for downstream data analysis and processing.
The NeuroView program itself is sold as part of the MindSet Research Tools (MRT).
NeuroSkyLab is targeted at the EEG researcher who is familiar with the MATLAB environment. For those comfortable with MATLAB scripting, NeuroSkyLab provides much more powerful capabilities than NeuroView in terms of customization and real-time data viewing and analysis.
NeuroSkyLab was developed from the low level MindSet Communications Protocol document provided as part of the MDT. It is implemented entirely in Matlab programming language.
NeuroSkyLab is sold as part of the MindSet Research Tools (MRT).
